Mud and trees poured across the northbound lanes of Hwy 101 just south of Stafford below Vista Point around 5:30 a.m. Northbound traffic is at a standstill.

According to a reader stuck in mess, a Caltrans dump truck and loader arrived at 6:50 a.m. But the highway is still blocked at this time.

UPDATE 7:19 a.m.: Traffic is being let through as the slide is being worked on. Southbound lanes are not affected.
