JOSH COOK: ‘Extremely charismatic and a joker by nature’
This section includes both obituaries and memories. Honoring our loved ones who have died does not end immediately after their passing. We recognize that… so we’re extending our obituary section to include individuals who may have left a long time ago. If you want to remember someone who is gone, either recently or longer ago, please send a photo and a few sentences to [email protected]. Tell us why you would like to honor the person–is it their birthday, the date of their passing or some other date of significance to you.
Joshua Gene Cook was born in Fortuna, CA on February 24, 1985. He unexpectedly left this earth on January 20, 2017 in the state of Washington. Now he is resting in the arms of our heavenly Father.
Joshua is preceded in death by his Nana Candy Fleek, Grandpa Gary Udovich, Uncle Brian Udovich and his brother Braxton Hamilton. He is survived by his wife Lacey Cook, daughters Heaven, Candice and Margaret Cook; Madeline Flores, Helen Martin, parents Michelle Foster and Jeff Hamilton, brother Nick Hamilton, Grandpa Ben Fleek, godfather Clayton Matthews, Aunt Kelly and Uncle Adam and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends across the country. Joshua’s pride and joy was his girls — he adored them.
Joshua’s greatest passion in life was music. He was a singer, songwriter and guitarist. At a very young age he started playing and recording music and his talent excelled through the years. He aspired to cut a record and got very close to doing just that. Joshua enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding quads and motorcycles.
He was very recently married to Lacey Dean Cook of Washington. Prior to that he shared his life with Madeline Flores the mother of two of his girls.
Joshua was extremely charismatic and a joker by nature. In general a people person, he touched many lives with his compassionate ways. He had come to know the Lord and found great peace and happiness in his life. Anyone who was a friend of my son’s knows that he gave wholeheartedly of himself. He will be deeply missed by many.
We will celebrate Joshua’s life this Spring to be announced at a later date. We will also announce a place to donate for his children. Any questions please contact his mother Shell Foster at [email protected].

To say He was kind means none of you knew him well…..he was a terrible asshole….I’ll miss him myself
Griz, he may have been an ass, but he was our ass 🙂 He was kind when he chose to be.
Rip Brother
Ha ha Tery you must have been a good friend of my sons, the more he liked you the more of an ass he could be!Josh had made many changes with himself but yeah we all know Joshs many sides. He wouldnt pass by a homeless veteran without saying hi,thats the kindness im speaking of.
I met Josh when he was 14 and adorable. I know him to be charming, kind, witty, intelligent, loving, fun, silly and someone who wanted to do well in life. Someone who enjoyed seeing others do well.
To call him an ass… well… I had met some of the people he collected and people who wanted to pal around with him. Several were true classless asses. He had a big heart and was willing to give just about anyone a chance at a friendship.

I’m sorry I didn’t get to know you better, Josh. You appeared in my life like a tornado and only wanted to get to know long lost family and I let you down. Never thought I’d google you and find this… RIP dude, see you on the other side.
