[UPDATE 5:40 p.m.: Warning Expands] Lost Coast and North, Severe Thunderstorm Coming Your Way

map of thunderstorm area.The National Weather Service is warning folks along the coast to take cover. A “severe thunderstorm” with possible large hail and damaging winds is striking the area and could last until around 5:30 p.m.

UPDATE 5:40 p.m.:

The National Weather Service issued a new warning, “Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with these storms. Locations impacted include…
Eureka, Ferndale, Myrtletown, Cutten, Fairhaven, Loleta, Humboldt
Hill, Pine Hills, Bayview, Samoa and Fernbridge.”
