Ready for a Windy, Wet Wednesday?

Redwood in the RainThe National Weather Service predicts wind and widespread rain for Wednesday throughout northwest California. This wet weather will remain through late Friday.

“High elevation snow will also be possible in Trinity County,” the Weather Service says.

Expect blustery weather, too. The Weather Service warns, “Winds gusting to 40-50 mph are likely along exposed ridges in Del Norte, Humboldt, and Mendocino Counties.”

Because we live in a temperate rainforest. We used to have long gray winters all the time and Im thrilled to have a real winter.
May it never be like the last four years!!! I ask for no more dissin the rain, if its not for you please do move somewhere that suits you better. I personally love the forest and rivers. A bit of discomfort in winter is worth it. The rain is what makes our area so beautiful. More water for swimming in summer! The hard freezes kill ticks, pests and bacteria. This spring is gonna be super beautiful!!!!

Let’s set the forecast straight: As of 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday morning, The Weather Channel does not forecast any rain until at least 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday night. Make plans accordingly…

NOAA:
“Wednesday
A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 60. Light and variable wind becoming south southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.”

It looks like it’s not really starting till Thursday so get your firewood stacked and gutters clean Wednesday.

For all those complaining, I was born and raised here and as a kid we didn’t see sun ever. This is a normal winter for Humboldt. Also the clouds bring warmth. I’m stoked
