[UPDATE 9:32 a.m.:] About 2500 Residences Without Power From Garberville to Ettersburg

PG&EA large swath of Southern Humboldt is without power this morning. Some lost power about 7:15 a.m. and others about a half hour later.

At this point, PG&E is assessing the cause. There is no estimated time of restoral.

UPDATE 9:11 a.m.: A portion of the Miranda area lost power about 9:02 a.m.

Again, unknown cause and unknown time to restore.

UPDATE 9:32 a.m.: Power is out now to much of the Phillipsville area now, too. Our estimate is that there is close to 2500 residences without power.

Same time in Benbow. Lights flickering badly. Dog terrified. She should have been a cat…

Our dog a big scaredy cat also. I recommend getting a ‘Thundershirt’ for dogs. Actually helps!

Power went off here at Spyrock round 8:45 came right back on though soon as I put some gas in the generator

I already have a full time job. I’m glad to have a light switch that works over 99% of the time.

We have two flat top wood heaters to cook on if the power goes out, and plenty of LED lights. Soooo.. we’re just as happy with the power off or on, and we are grateful to not have to make our own power.
