[UPDATE 5:55 a.m. Tuesday] Hwy 1 Closed on the Coast
Around 8 p.m., a slide crossed Hwy 1 about a mile and a half past Rockport just after the road begins running south along the ocean. A tree, rocks and debris crossed both lanes. The debris is several inches deep, according to the California Highway Patrol Incident page. Caltrans is on the way. Check here to see if the latest information on it.
UPDATE 11:11 p.m.: According to the CHP Incident page at 10:56 p.m., one lane should be open shortly.
UPDATE 5:55 a.m.: At 11:22 last night, Caltrans opened the road with one-lane traffic control.

Would this be the same spot where that Caltrans truck was almost swept over the side awhile back?

This slide actually occurred inland, not along the coastline. Was clear as of 4 this afternoon, but more rain could cause more trouble.
