Join a 57-Year Tradition; Come to the Advent Tea
For 57 years the United Methodist Women have been holding the Advent Tea. Volunteers decorate various tables with a Christmas theme. Then the community is invited to come view the beautiful displays and join in worship which includes music and the lighting of the Advent Wreath. Afterwards, refreshments are provided.
Viewing of the decorated tea tables will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the afternoon program is at 1:00 p.m. December 2 at the United Methodist Church at 520 Del Norte Street in Eureka. A second viewing at the same place begins at 6:30 p.m. while the evening program starts at 7:00 p.m.
The Eureka High Limited Edition will be preforming in the afternoon program and the Del Norte Bells will be performing in the evening. There will be a goodwill offering taken at the tea and will be donated to a local charity. Also local churches are invited to participate by calling to hostess a table or come to the programs.
