Today, residents in Mendocino and Humboldt responded to the call for a national day of action in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux who are attempting stop the Dakota Access Pipeline or DAPL. The Sioux say the oil pipeline will cross sacred sites and pass under the Missouri River near their reservation and they worry it could damage their water.

I’m standing with standing rock!!!
I’m with Standing Rock, too. I grew up in North Dakota, in the heart of Sioux Country, and I never (!) saw a Native American child, although I remember the grown-ups (?) attitudes and jokes about them. I can just imagine the religious, economic and social bigotry they face today.
You can help. Search “Standing Rock Support” and pick your venue. af
My Grandmother was born in no.Dakota. Not sure where.always wanted to go!!
They won their oil monopoly scheme, pointed out over the years of archives in their own newspaper, at Brakken.
No more leasing of their lands to Americans. I wonder who will fill the gap…

I really wonder how many gallons of oil these supporters use in a year. I wonder if a average farmer would get this kind of support if it was their families land?
Thats an excellent question…..hmmmm
