Woman Victim of Home Invasion
Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

The suspects stole a laptop in a red laptop case, and tattoo equipment.

Suspect #1 you should avoid all contact with if seen. Might have metheasles(tm).
P.S. I love the great gazoo.
I don’t think it’s helpful to conflate burglary with a home invasion.
I understand what you are saying. I actually was concerned. But the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was calling it that in their press release: http://humboldtgov.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1044 so I assumed that they must know something about the way it happened that made it a home invasion rather than a burglary.
Home invasion is when the vic is at home when the offense occurs.
Thanks, Susy, You may be right. Although we tend to think of it as armed invaders going into a home with the intent to commit a violent crime against the occupants, this source
http://www.criminaldefenselawyer.com/resources/difference-between-home-invasion-burglary.htm indicates that it can be any burglary that takes place in a residence.
Maybe the suspects should have locked up the house before the victim was going to bed to make for an exciting set of charges – notice no information about a breaking and entering………..
Breaking and entering is a metaphor. Just entering is the crime.
Just more losers.
Sorry but no one does a home invasion for a red laptop and tattoo equipment. The rest of the story please?
Maybe the burglars were not done when she woke up.
Opportunists take what is available until “disturbed.” af
My point is, do you really think they set out with a laptop and tattoo equipment as the payoff for breaking and entering? My instincts and judgment are tugging at my leg on this one.
You’ve never been to Orick, have you? Wouldn’t be surprised if home invasion happened for a roll of quarters!
Sleeping at 1:27 pm? Does she work the midnight shift or what?
Day off? Working another shift? Retired and napping? Off sick? works from home?
Hoofbeats, Horses, Zebras on this one?
It makes me squeamish when attempts are made to discredit the story of the victim of a crime without some basis in fact other than spidey sense. The victim is then victimized twice.
I wasn’t trying to discredit the victim. It was more of a play on the intent of the home invaders and what they are usually after especially this time of year. After all, how many home invasions are reported in the news that do not involve marijuana? Statistically very few I bet.
Very kind of you to stand up for her Kym!
I wasn’t attempting to discredit anything or anyone.
weed is always to blame .Meth is the real problem !!!
