This is the final meeting of a three-part series to update the District’s strategic plan. The day-long agenda will include a review of progress on the five strategic objectives already developed at previous planning sessions:
Two-way community communication
Adding new health care services
Development of a facilities master plan, including feasibility of a new hospital
Improving health and coordinating care for the communities we serve
Retaining great employees and focused health care recruiting
The planning team includes all five publicly-elected District Board Members; Administrators Matt Rees and Kent Scown, their management team and several members of the community who have offered input on the district’s future.
The strategic planning sessions will be facilitated by Rob Eskridge and Ryan Stock of the Growth Management Center. They have over 30 years of experience assisting businesses or government entities, with deep health care and special district expertise.
Members of the public are invited and welcome to attend.

Wow, got any proof?

I have to say, though, when you go to the County Health Dept as an employee, they refer to SHCHD as the “Death Zone”. Harry Jasper WAS a lying piece of garbage, and he played rough, and for my money, played dirty. He probably was no worse than most District Hospital CEO’s… They come out of school and get jobs at District Hospitals to get some practice, kind of like the freshly minted nurses and doctors they like to hire. The new CEO is not too smart, apparently. He thinks that College of the Redwoods should sell SHCHD their property for 10 cents on the dollar, for what reason I can’t guess…
And then there’s Kent Scown, who is one of the most stupid and abusive individuals working in any healthcare operation anywhere. To call him an administrator is an insult to capable people everywhere. Calling him unqualified would be much too mild.

Lead by losers, supported by no one in the community, even the board members won’t use it. Jerold Phelps (Clinic/SNF/Urgent Care), a great place to die or be pronounced dead. A real uptown ghetto hospital-like facility. Put an orange plastic fence around it to keep everyone out!

Repeal the district tax! If you are just keeping the doors open, they should probably be closed!

The general lack of comments tells the whole story. (Nobody cares about this place!)
