Chalk up another one for HWY 36! Since these drivers don’t show any respect to one of the most dangerous roads in the country, I always root for the road to win! Good job, 36!

I’ll bid $10.00 for the truck after they extract it from the tree as no one seems to care about it enough to stick around. Trimmers from another Country maybe.

Is that Dutch money or is that “guilder” I’m thinking of? Might as well be. Lots of crazy people drive 36, smarty, including crazy teen-agers on a summer fling out of Red Bluff or anyplace on 101.

According to the scanner, the female driver was passing over double yellow lines prior to the crash.

We should change the law so there is presumptive guilt if you hit and run or abandon your crashed vehicle. If they can do it for refusal to take a sobriety test, why not.

In lieu of recent events, (& so many of them), I agree. That’s BS to avoid the responsibility / rap.

I guess in this case all the nuts ARE on the trees!!! Sadly one of these times they will not only add their names to the Darwin Award Recipients list, for removing themselves from the Gene Pool, but will likely take some one innocent with them when they go!!!

Inside joke on this Driver Vs Tree!!! A few months we had a truck that ended up against a stand of trees on Burr valley rd, coming off the steep hill. Never did find out who the driver was, but it was eventually removed. Maybe its the same stupid driver and they didnt get it right the 1st time, so tried it on HWY 36?

It’s right by the church camp. Maybe the driver was instantly assimilated into Heaven due to consistent saintly behavior and concern for others.

We had a card of a truck in a tree at the Blue Moon Gift Shop years ago. The caption read: ‘I can explain.’

I can think of all kinds of captions to go with that picture. 1968 – George of the Jungle: “WATCH OUT FOR THAT TREE!!!”
