Yup, and everyone’s OK AFAIK – boy, you’re quick – this just came over the scanner a few minutes ago!
I heard the sirens, so I kept checking your site. I knew you’d have it first!
I hope everyone is o.k.
I heard the Miranda Volunteers (I think it was they) just a minute before that. That’s why I turned the scanner on. Keep up the good work, Kym.
Even when you think it is peace and safe it is a sudden destruction or in this case maybe a distraction. It’s good every one is safe .
No contamination leaks. Looks like a winter waterway?
No, just the opposite, this is one of the few little creeks that is still flowing. At least 20 people get water from that creek.
I know this because I own that property, at least until escrow closes. I still own the property on the other side of the road.
Glad everyone is safe. Now slow the heck down!
Empty totes. Huh.
Yeah, first things first. “5 patients aren’t at the scene”, LOL.
Right…
First thing I noticed, that and what make the truck is. Lmao!
Lol yup. See the gorilla tape left over that held the lids on
Slow down on rural twisty roads. I see people speeding on Mattole road practically every time I drive it. There is no reason you should end up over an embankment like that.
It’s typical of how all the backroads are driven these “Daze” including but obviously not limited to Hwy. 36!!! It seems to me there is a Class3 at least if not a Class 1 in every box of Cracker Jack as the “Toy Surprise”!!!
Lol. That explains a lot!
Never play “who dropped the joint” in your own vehicle! BRO DOWN!
Lots of wildlife out today, dam deer
Slow down, relax, take it easy. And we thank you.
They must have been going to the laundromat. Their laundry basket fell out.
I hope they are okay. It doesn’t look like they were trapped too badly. The front passenger cab is pretty caved in.
Good one!
full of trimigants is our best guess, 7 passengers and an empty tote is my clue
Yep, truck full of Asian trimmers.
Their employer came by with a U-Haul and picked up all the trash and even offered to pay for the downed tree.
I was rather surprised at this, at least he took responsibility for his employees mistake.
Oh yes. The always popular: Laundrmat Defense. My truck was filled with laundry baskets. I couldn’t see the road., Officer. INMF. (Its not my fault)
Those are harvest bins [edit]
What make/model is this vehicle? Aftermarket fenders, wheels, etc? 2014 Growdozer Cutlass Supreme? Hope everyone’s okay.
Hopefully they don’t make the mistake of getting such a stupid lift.
What I see around here is all these up & comers have started driving full size trucks. They obviously have never driven a vehicle of this size before. Follow behind one they can’t keep it between the double yellow & the fog line. They also have no clue how to drive when they’re towing a trailer. Scary.
Driven 36 have you? It is nuckin futs! I drive a full size, but I always have, or a delivery truck. I keep my shit between the lines all the time, on rails! Some people should just stick with their compacts!
Easy, we all need the kit to fit in. Yo, I’m undercover, but look at my lift.
stupid is stupid does-especially in a big boy pickup. This eliminates 7 idiots from causing harm to others for a little while
Do you mean that 2 are out and 5 are still in the truck?
I could be wrong but it sounded to me like 2 hauled ass leaving the other 5 holding the bag or empty tote in this case!!!
I think five hauled ass leaving two stranded in the truck.
“Patients” or “passengers”?
Yeah, I’m puzzled why they call ’em “patients” if they’re not injured and under medical care.
“Patients” or “passengers”?
There seems to be an echo in here!!! ;op
There seems to be an echo in here!!! ;op
Yeah, I’m puzzled why they call ’em “patients” if they’re not injured and under medical care.
(Maybe today is “say everything twice” day.)
O must be 215 patients lol
Speed kills, drive slower.
A few other drugs too.
Folks please slow down if you can’t keep it between the fog line and the double yellow YOU ARE GOING TOO FAST. I drive the twisty, tourney often and so many times cars are over in my lane when I have come around a blind curve. There are clearly two sides of the narrow,I’ll admit, highway. One is mine the other yours. Stay the heck on yours please. Thank you. Like to drive fast ? Then do it skillfully.
There’s no fog line and double yellow on those roads.
What’s a twisty tourney?
A tournament for Twister players?
One went to get help and four ladies hiked back up the hill. Per CHP they were blinded by the sunlight going around a sharp corner. Go slower but also keep a pair of sunglasses in your vehicle at all times, pretty scary when you can’t see what is in front of you. Glad everyone is okay.
Chp just left, saw everyone in a/the truck? Looked like no one was arrested as chp rigs were empty. But it took 5+ hours?
If they couldn’t positively ID who was driving – or couldn’t pin a felony or a DUI on him, it may well be that nobody was arrested. When an arrest IS made, a call will usually go “poof” and be taken off the CHP’s public screen entirely (though LoCO’s bot had already imported everything that was posted through 1:01 p.m.) And the unit that cleared at 4:28 pm was probably doing follow-ups, very possibly inventorying the truck’s interesting contents, talking to any witnesses, stuff like that.
A lot goes on during some calls that never shows up at all on the public version of CHP’s Computer Aided Dispatch system, especially things like people’s names, driver license numbers, license plates, etc. Here’s an example from Riverside County early this morning (Saturday) that I grabbed a screenshot of:
http://tinyurl.com/RiversideCallLog
Note that there are 29 “detail” lines displayed, but the bracketed numbers indicate that the full internal version had [69] lines by 3:04 a.m., plus the 24 lines of unit status changes at the bottom. I know, boring, huh? But FWIW if anybody cares.
Thanks, BOL. I have the 5.0 app and it doesn’t give details like that. I should get a real scanner as much as I like to monitor these things. Appreciate your info, esp on Loco.
That info comes from this page. http://cad.chp.ca.gov/Traffic.aspx
Cool. Thanks.
is this fritz sextons truck?? very interesting
CHP logged a “major injury”: https://lostcoastoutpost.com/chpwatch/2016/sep/16/00048/
The word “patients” was used in the fire & ambulance communications because the initial 9-1-1 call patched through to CalFire Fortuna indicated possible people trapped, who would be potential injured patients until it was determined otherwise. http://tinyurl.com/THOMAS-mp3
The possibility of injuries was the second-most important part of the dispatch.
When you can’t see what’s in front of you. You should STOP! Common sense is not that common anymore. Hope everyone is ok.
I wonder if they’ll release the names of the passengers
Well my truck has sun visors.not trying to be a smartass! (Or am i)if the road is blinding you SLOW DOWN!and now.back to your regular program, glad the trimming ladies are ok.so if they found nothing other than 5 folks,WHY DID THE OTHERS RUN?
