Body Found in Eel River Identified; Detectives Continue to Investigate

Humboldt County Sheriff HCSO badgeThe Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office identified the body found face down in the Eel River on Tuesday evening as a 26-year-old Wisconsin man, Joshua Deyo.  According to Sgt. Jesse Taylor, The body was “somewhat decomposed” and had injuries that might or might not have been caused by a fall. Detectives are continuing to investigate the situation.

A pathologist will conducting an autopsy this Saturday, September 3rd.

If you’re going to use the bridge ,for a diving board you need to check the water level first. I thought they put up a anti jump fence . Maybe they should put up some razor wire for a better anti jump deterrent.

I grew up in the same town as he did.

He was always getting into trouble, came from a very troubled home.

Josh died from blunt force trama to the back of his head. Than his body was dumped in the river. He did come from a troubled home just like everybody else on the planet. Why don’t you become educated about your own problems and leave other people’s problems to them.

Hey ed, I’m the one that brought Josh to your house. I’m sorry for the loss man. And I’m sorry people find it necessary to be so f***ing insensitive.
