Is there any information on how this got started? Thanks, Kym, for doing the fires so faithfully! af
Under investigation…
Sounds like the fire fighters are getting there ass es kicked .hope it turns around soon .
The Feds running these fires are the U.S. FOREST SERVICE, not “Forestry service”…The state is California Dept. Of Forestry and Fire Protection, two separate things, and an important distinction for those working their butts off for the U.S. Forest Service..
Pray for our firefighters it’s not a easy task they have,it’s so dangerous and so many variables.we had two in our family and a smoke jumper and when I heard their stories and others my hairs on my neck pop up.BE SAFE AND THANK YOU
What a monster growing there glad I drove through this area this spring before all this. The thing that strikes me about the fire map is as the fire draws closer to the river .It could pick up unpredictable winds so firefighters stay safe.
here’s a link for other coverage; I followed them when there was the big fire in eastern Humboldt/western Trinity around Denny and Ironside Mountain. Solid

Looks like Kym knows them well but the links should help others who want to monitor the situation more closely.
