Lake County Getting Hammered With Fire, 5.0 Earthquake
The Kugelman Fire in the community of Lower Lake is 45 acres and only 20% contained, according to Cal Fire. Fortunately, as of 8:45 p.m. State Senator Mike McGuire was tweeting, “Most Lower Lake neighbors are being allowed to go back home [after being] evacuated earlier this evening due to wild land fire.”
UPDATE 10:25 p.m.: The Lake County Sheriff sent out the following message:
Mandatory evacuation orders have been lifted for all of Lower Lake.
The public is asked to drive with extra caution in the areas effect by the fire. Emergency personnel will be working in the area throughout the night.
UPDATE 1:11 a.m. Wednesday: May Bowser sends us these short videos of another fire in Lake County yesterday. This one was eventually contained about 7:30 p.m.
