He looks like a very sad young man. He may need help other than/ in addition to criminal justice. He did something very dangerous. May be drug issue. I hope someone interviews him for mental or drug issues. Let us become a society that offers more than just punishment!

Sounds nice…until the knife is at Your neck, or your wifes, or your children, or grandkids. Your statement–let us become a society that offers more than just punishent–is misleading, he had a choice in the first place to stay out of trouble. There are some European countries that take your driving privileges away for life after your first DUI…stiff penalties=less crime. Countries I’m referring to only have a fraction of the highway/road fatalities we do, how do I know this you say? My folks traveled there several years ago and after dinner with relatives, having only a glass of wine refused to drive because of it! Am I not compassionate towards this young man, yes, however I’m more compassionate towards our society as a whole first. If this kid knew first hand by observance of those that went before him and the hard reality of having to pay the price for his actions, chances are he wouldn’t have even considered doing what he did in the first place, this would be the first step in pre-rehabilitation…that my friend is compassion.

What about the victim? The perp allegedly put a knife to someone’s throat for a few dollars. How would YOU like to be sitting there wondering if this cretin was going to slice your neck from ear to ear? Oh, how nice, how wonderful, that the perp showed mercy after the cash extraction. Wonderful guy.

Well, of course he looks sad, he just got busted. I for one think 50K bail is way too low since that’s what you get for simple marijuana offenses. When you use a deadly weapon in a robbery that’s ARMED ROBBERY and that’s a class A felony. If I was the judge, it’d be 100K + on the bail and mandatory evaluation for mental and drug issues.

Just think if the victim had a gun and shot him dead during the robbery, HE would probably get 500K bail for murder.

Yeah, he looks SO sad after being busted for armed robbery and terrorism. LOL. Knife -to -the -throat is religious-grade terrorism. Poor baby, he looks so sad. I hope he looks a lot sadder before this is over.

He is very lucky that he did not try this with one of the thousands of Concealed Carriers or those that carry without a permit. He would not have to worry about what his bail is set at. There are many people that are not only willing to protect themselves but are also equipt to do so.
