Body of Missing Man Located
The family of a man missing since April 6 told us today that Paul Martin’s body had been located near the mouth of the Klamath River. Martin, who was 22 years old, was one of three friends who went swimming in the Trinity River. The three were swept away by the swift current. Two were rescued but Martin was not found until earlier this week.
The family asks that the community share “the dangers of swimming in California Rivers out of season.” A GoFundMe account which was originally set up to help with expenditures for the search is now being used to assist Martin’s mother with the expense of burying her son.
Martin’s brother-in-law, Eric Fisher says, “Thank you to all that have been supportive during this time, it has been wholeheartedly appreciated.”

Near Crescent City? The Klamath River doesn’t really get all that close to CC. Was it near Klamath or Requa?
I’m gratified to see that the family will be able to attain some measure of peace.
I apologize. I’ve fixed this to the correct location.
Just tring to give family and friends that don’t live in this beautiful area an idea of where to look on a map. No offense but my son drowned and the correct geography really doesn’t Matter…he was in the mouth of the Klamath.
So sorry for the families glad they found him now the family can get closure.
So sorry for your loss. Such a young man and many 22 year olds don’t understand how dangerous the rivers can be in April, I didnt. The families turning this tragedy into an opportunity to educate others and that’s very commendable. I hope they have lots of support and love as they heal from this. RIP young man.
