[UPDATE 3:02 p.m.] ‘Roads Open!” Salmon Creek Building Safely Burned

 

Ed laidlawDetails are still coming in but, according to Lt. Mike Fridley of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Salmon Creek Road is open and people can return to their home.

Battalion Chief Ed Laidlaw of Humboldt Bay Fire drove into the area and discovered the hash lab which began burning in Salmon Creek a little before 11 a.m. today had safely burned to the ground.

UPDATE 3:02 p.m.: Cal Fire is reporting,

 

  • Salmon Creek Road is now open

  • Evacuations lifted

  • Hazard Mitigated

  • Resources are still at scene

  • Cause: under investigation

There’s a dragon with matches that’s loose on the town.
Takes a whole pan of water just to cool him down.
