South Fork Proud of Two Teams in the Playoffs Wednesday
Two South Fork teams have fought their way into the playoffs this season. Both the baseball and the Lady Cubs softball teams are battling it out in the North Coast Section California Interscholastic Federation.
The Cubs will host their first playoff game on Wednesday, May 25th at 4:00 in Miranda. They wrapped up their regular season 10-2 record in League and 18-6 overall. The Cubs received their 1st League championship since 1991!
The Lady Cubs will travel to Head Royce High School in Oakland on the same day at the same time to play their first game. They finished their regular season 12-12 overall.
“It’s a very proud moment for our local school to have both teams make playoffs,” said Crystal Salomon whose daughter is on the softball team.
If you can’t make Oakland to support the Lady Cubs, stop by Miranda and cheer on the Cubs baseball team.

CUBS WIN!! CUBS WIN!!
Despite the reputation SoHum has for its Weed Culture and our homeless problems. There really are good people down here, we have talented folks coaching our kids, we have parents willing to travel and support there athletic students and we have highly motivated athletes that really work hard for there success and they make our town shine! Cheers to the good things!!
How is that “in spite” of weed culture? Seems like most athletes occasionally smoke weed.
Go South Fork!
Go Cubs!
