Driver and Passenger Both Injured and Bleeding After Truck Goes Over Bank Near Weott

A pickup went off Hwy 101 and over the embankment north of Weott tonight. According to the California Highway Patrol Incident page, the driver reported at approximately 10:10 p.m. that both he and the passenger were injured and bleeding. The driver told dispatch that the vehicle was 60′ to 100′ over the edge. An ambulance and other emergency vehicles are responding to the scene.

UPDATE 11:24 p.m.: The vehicle is out of the road but it isn’t clear how badly injured the occupants were.
