Firefighters Save a Little Girl’s Day
Good deeds come in all sizes. Some are huge like saving saving a life and some are small but make a day bright.
On Sunday, Josephine and Mahala Johnson were flying kites on the Arcata Plaza when Josephine’s kite got stuck on a light pole. According to photographer Craig Johnson, “Josephine walked over to the Firehouse and told Firefighter Walker what happened. He and his Captain came to the rescue.”
A big hug to Firefighter Walker from Josephine.
Craig Johnson said, “They saved the kite and the day.”
(Those Arcata Firefighters made our day at Redheaded Blackbelt a little brighter, too. Thank you from us!)

Yes Kym! I love nice sweet stories. It’s the ‘good news’ that many decry as missing from our ‘plugged-in’ lives. They are soothing.
