201601079 FontaineOn Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at about 8:24 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies did a patrol check on a residence on the 2200 block of Magnolia Lane in the Cutten area. Deputies have received numerous citizen complaints about suspicious activity and persons. Upon arrival, the Deputy saw two people in the driveway siphoning gas from a Toyota pickup truck.

As deputies approached, the male subject fled into the greenbelt behind the house. Deputies spoke with 31 year old Beth Fontaine and questioned her about the truck. Deputies then contacted the registered owner of the truck who did not realized their truck had been stolen. The truck was returned to the registered owner.

Fontaine was arrested for possession of stolen property and violation of probation. She was taken to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where she was booked on the above charges.

Anyone with information for the Sheriff’s Office regarding this case or related criminal activity is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 707-445-7251 or the Sheriff’s Office Crime Tip line at 707-268-2539.

These meth heads NEED to be dealt with. They will not stop and the problem is getting worse, not better. Prop 47 dumped these people in our laps to deal with directly. Burglary, robbery, home invasions, shoplifting, it’s all through the roof now. I already had to deal with some. Eureka is a toilet and it makes me glad I am finally leaving this place for good. Thanks to marijuana and drugs, it will never get better.

It it terrible how Eureka has become, but running from the problem isnt the answer!!! We need to take back our town , and run this —- out of town. Other communities have done it, why cant we? If we got rid of all the drunks. druggies and scummy people, we would have a sweet town again!!!

Hopefully with recreatonal weed becoming legal it will drive down high profits and many folks will pick up sticks and leave .sure a few businesses may close but it’s a small price to pay for cleaning up humboldt.

It aint the guys with the money that are running around stealing shit out of your garage. Legalizing weed won’t clean this place up. The bums will just have more doe to spend on the hard drugs. The tweekers and junkies aren’t going anywhere unless you make ’em.

So sad what’s happened ,or happining to my beloved humboldt I say this because I was born in Garberville hospital 55 yrs ago been here my whole life ,so I’ve witnessed it’s decline I know there’s people in the community who know what I’m saying. My suggestion is to make sure you have your ass covered and guard your home at all cost because it’s not gonna get better,so be prepared
