Hey, Hoopa and Willow Creek Folks, Come Talk to the Sheriff

Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

HCSOHumboldt County Sheriff Michael Downey will host community meetings in Hoopa and Willow Creek in February 2016. The Willow Creek meeting will be on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall (VFW), 20 Kimtu Rd, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Hoopa meeting will be on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Hoopa Legion Hall, on Legion Way, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sheriff Downey invites the residents of the cities of Hoopa and Willow Creek to meet with him and his command staff to discuss the increase in law enforcement and topics discussed in the last community meetings.

The media are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.

…and Orleans, Weitchpec, Pecwan folks too I assume? It gets way more rural than Hoopa and we need some law and order too.

Why is the meeting at the very small Legion hall and not held at the very large Neighborhood facilities gym?
