[UPDATE 2:09 p.m.: A Lull But More Coming] Storm Coming: Flood Watches Issued in Mendocino, Del Norte, Humboldt and Trinity Counties
A storm rolling in today and Friday is predicted to drop significant amount of rain across northwestern California. The rain should be light most of today but is expected to increase through the night and into tomorrow.
Flood watches have been issued though none of the main rivers are expected to actually flood. Several, however, are expected to reach or exceed monitoring stage– the Klamath River near Klamath, the Mad River near Arcata, the Eel River at Fernbridge, and the Van Duzen River near Bridgeville.
Look out for big waves on the coast. There is a high surf advisory issued, too.
UPDATE 2:09 p.m.: The National Weather Service tweeted this:
Not seeing any rain? That's because the front quickly passed thru. Expect mostly dry conditions thru the afternoon. pic.twitter.com/N6g5bcU0Hf

Thanks for the update, your always spot on…
I’m enjoying the winter we are having so far. I’m born and raised here, so it’s nice to see a normal rainy season.
Totally. It’s great. Nice and wet. It’s a warm winter, not as many frozen puddles these days as in the older colder wet winters of days of yore, but at least there are puddles.
“I love the rainy nights”
Is it going to reach lake county
