Today, Humboldt County Sheriff Mike Downey directed staff to activate the Emergency Operations Center. It is currently at level one with minimum staffing. This will allow coordination between different county agencies.

Multiple county and state roads are closed or impacted. (See here for the latest road information. We’re updating constantly.) Flooding is occurring at multiple creeks and drainages around the county.

Humboldt County Supervisor Mark Lovelace is posting numerous photos and videos of the flooding on his Facebook page. Here’s one post from him. Check out the others for a look at how wet Humboldt County can get.

We have the latest information on the rivers that are expected to flood here. The Van Duzen is expected to reach flood stage the soonest at 5 p.m. this evening.
