Wintery Weather Continues Today for Much of the Emerald Counties

A winter weather advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service. It is in effect until 4 a.m. Monday. They predict that between two and four inches of snow will accumulate above 2500 feet. “Amounts of up to 6 inches are possible across extreme southeast Del Norte and northeast Humboldt County. Accumulations up to 2 inches are possible as low as 1500 feet especially in Trinity County.”

Particularly watch mountain passes. Highways expected to see snow accumulation are 36…96…199 and 299.

It is currently sleeting in the mountains west of Miranda at approximately 1300 feet. Let us know what kind of weather you are getting.
