Pedestrian Injured in Eureka

A pedestrian was struck on Central Avenue between Henderson and West Harris in Eureka about 6 p.m. According to Capt. Brian Stephens of the Eureka Police, the victim was conscious but suffered “visible injuries” after being struck by a silver 4-door sedan.

One lane of Central is currently closed as of 6:15 p.m.

UPDATE 6:21 p.m.: According to the scanner, the victim is a 68-year-old male with a laceration to the back of the head.
