So many officers raced to the residence with lights and sirens going we decided to give a quick report on this situation.

Multiple officers responded to the report of an attempted break-in on Ponderosa court about 9:15 p.m. A neighbor reported that unknown suspects had “gained access to his neighbor’s residence.”

The Eureka Police Department, California Highway Patrol and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office all arrived on scene quickly.  According to Sgt. Travis Braud  of the Eureka Police Department, the situation was not as reported. The officers are leaving the scene as of 9:34 p.m.
