Water was up to the tires and they needed a rescue swimmer? Sounds like all she needed was some tall boots

I guess in this case it was a rescue walker?

I’m sure in her situation she wasn’t thinking clearly. Perhaps she had a phobia of drowning. Glad that she was rescued swiftly.

In the photo there appears to be a small area behind the vehicle that has slid some, not uncommon, and a dip in the roadway. Looks like she was over the double yellow, probably to avoid the high water.

It looks still but was the water flowing? Was she disabled (whatever the term is now)? I dont get it.

Maybe she was elderly, or can’t swim, or had an injury. I don’t see why people are being critical of this situation. Hell, I pay a shit ton of taxes and have never need to call on the services that I pay for. She’s basically getting services that she either paid for or people volunteer in order to help others. If you didn’t have to get wet or travel to help this woman, then who cares what you think?!

I personally just find it a tad funny that she was in good enough health to be able to climb onto the roof of the car, but couldn’t walk through 2′ deep water for 15′ to safety? I think she needed a tow truck more than a rescue swimmer.
