The teen theatre company, Recycled Youth, presents their new original show, Down the Rabbit Hole, at the Mateel Community Center on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Dec 3, 4, 5 at 8pm and Sunday Dec 6 at 2pm. The show is a modern take on Alice in Wonderland, but with a twist. Alice lives a simple life in the hills of Humboldt, but when she falls through the rabbit hole, she finds herself at a Police Brutality trial presided over by the Queen of Hearts, a “Tea Party” that is an absurd presidential debate, a Mock Turtle who sobs over the Transpacific Partnership, a caterpillar who explains the dangers of BHO Hash oil and much more. The show features comedy, drama, spoken word, dance, aerial arts, maskwork, songs and acrobatics.
