7:52am here at the top of Shirley Blvd in Arcata, the trusty thermometer reads a balmy 31°F.
Think it’s time to get the thermals out….

It’s 24 degrees here at the moment — near Hayfork — definitely not the kind of morning to practice:

Either would be good, but I spent my grocery money for a sweater and leggings knit from someone else’s alpaca. I would rather my no money went toward my fellows’ freedom than to the corporate vampires who keep us all enslaved.

Yes, and not bitter about having to eat popcorn to help someone staff their yacht. Instead, it made me happy to think I was helping someone feed her kids while appeasing my own pangs with it. Turns out there are a bunch of ways to stop feeling so miserable about not enough money, and this is definitely one of them. I’m almost good at this now.
