[UPDATE 10:30 p.m. Power Restored] Over 1300 Customers Lose Power From Rio Dell to Redcrest

Over 1300 customers  from Rio Dell to Redcrest were without power this evening after power lines came down a little before 8 p.m. in Rio Dell.

A fire resulted from the incident but it was “confined to the yard” and wasn’t in the street.  Currently, PG&E is estimating that the problem won’t be fixed until just before midnight.

Currently, power had been restored to customers along Hwy 101 except in the Rio Dell/Scotia area south.

UPDATE 10:30 p.m.: Power has been restored to all customers.
