A Klamath Woman and LA Man Dead After Two Fatal Accidents in Del Norte County
According to the California Highway Patrol, two people–a 26-year-old Klamath woman and a 64-year-old man from Los Angeles–were discovered dead in Del Norte County accidents this weekend:
Sometime after 11 AM on October 31, 2015, [26-year-old Tara] Williams was driving a Dodge Ram pickup southbound US- 101, in an unknown lane. For reasons pending further investigation, Williams allowed the Dodge to run off the road, along the southbound shoulder, and down an embankment. The driver side of the Dodge collided with a group of trees, causing Williams, who was un-seat belted, to be ejected from the vehicle. As a result, Williams sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The traffic collision is currently under investigation and it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were involved, at this time.
On 11/01/2015 CHP responded to a citizen’s report of a possibly late found fatal collision. After units arrived on scene, they discovered a small compact car covered by heavy brush and foliage. Del Norte County Search and Rescue was notified and responded to the scene where they confirmed the vehicle was occupied. Del Norte Search and Rescue extracted the victim [a 64-year-old male from Los Angeles.] The cause of this collision is unknown and is currently under investigation.
