Should be called “MOST UNWANTED!”

Shane Gregory Maupin and Brian Cameron Wilson are on this list for not showing up to bow their heads to the sheriffs periodically, after being released from their prison sentences early to ease prison overcrowding. The PRCS program let/s go prisoners who are not expected to be a threat to society, and the only caveat is that they are to report to the man every so often to be sure they’re keeping it clean.

Well. What if PRCS released prisoners get jobs out of the area? Or what if they’re just sick of the silly enterprise and don’t want to go in like truant schoolboys to demoralize themselves further or what if they just plain don’t want to risk taking off work to fulfill this dumb obligation?

Right, right, the law’s the law and the sheriffs have to observe it, but this is minuscule and should at worst be noted on records for traffic stop cops, NOT put on some mug shot list of “Most Wanted”. It is overblown and makes the sheriffs out to be a bunch of daddy figures with guns and tasers and a bad habit of injuring or killing unarmed people with whom they come in contact.

The good old slap on the wrist is reserved for the heroin and cocaine/crack dealers and the little guys deemed unthreatening get on this list?

I think it’s shameful.

If they had called the Sheriff’s office and told them they are working out of the area then they would not be on this list.
