Some County Roads Are Getting Resurfaced, Check to See If Your Commute Is Affected

Press release from Humboldt County Department of Public Works:

Humboldt CountyThe Humboldt County Department of Public Works working with Sierra Nevada Construction, Inc. will be resurfacing County roads in the Eureka, McKinleyville and Willow Creek areas on October 23, 27 and 28.

Temporary road closures or restrictions to travel and traffic, including bicycles, will be required between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following days and locations:
Friday, October 23
Eureka
Trinity Street from Myrtle Avenue to Quaker Street.
Ryan Court in from Gatliff Avenue to the end.

Tuesday, October 27
McKinleyville
Holly Drive from Cottonwood Avenue to Lime Avenue.
Bella Vista Drive from Central Avenue to Kristin Way.
Chanterelle Drive West from Heartwood Drive to back of loop.

Willow Creek
Walnut Way from US Highway 299 to The Terrace.

Wednesday, October 28
McKinleyville
Bella Vista Drive from Kristin Way to Post Mile 0.23.
Holly Drive from Central Avenue to Cottonwood Avenue.
Wrangler Court from Bugenig Avenue to end.
Stallion Court from Wrangler Ct. to end.
Chanterelle Drive East from Heartwood Dr. to back of loop.

I read in the Redwood Record that they were going to do some repaving and pothole fixing on Briceland road beginning Monday (2 days ago).

S Street in Eureka from south of Zane Jr High to Myrtle will be closed starting 10/24 for paving and striping in parts. I think I saw a single sign saying such, but all the lines have been scraped off in preparation.
