Ginger Nicole Soderfelt (Dunlap): 1979 – 2015

This section includes both obituaries and memories. Honoring our loved ones who have died does not end immediately after their passing. We recognize that… so we’re extending our obituary section to include individuals who may have left a long time ago. If you want to remember someone who is gone, either recently or longer ago, please send a photo and a few sentences to [email protected]. Tell us why you would like to honor the person–is it their birthday, the date of their passing or some other date of significance to you.

Ginger Nicole Soderfelt (Dunlap)
1/21/79 – 9/20/15

Ginger peacefully passed on Sept 19, 2015 with her husband and mother at her side after a strong fight against pancreatic cancer.

Ginger graduated Fortuna High in 1997. Ginger went on to work for Pacific Lumber Company, Eel River Sawmill and Branscom Lumber. After having her two children; she decided to expand her horizon and went on to college to receive her AA in graphic arts. College is where she met the love of her life Jeremiah and they married in July 2011.

Ginger was quite the tomboy growing up; she enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting guns for fun, but she always had time for friends and family. Ginger was full of life, strength and love; she has given all of us memories and life lessons that will never be forgotten along with her infectious laughter and smile. Ginger will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Ginger was preceded in death by her dad Darron Dunlap, her Grandparents Patty, Carole & John. She leaves behind two beautiful children Joshua & Kaylee, husband Jeremiah, in-laws Pam & Ed, mother Sherry, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Please in lieu of cards or flowers please donate to the Pancreatic cancer fund in Ginger’s name.

Ginger was an amazing person who’s nature and attitude brightened up any day. She showed courage, grace, and dignity in her fight. She left memories that will be embedded in our hearts forever. If we all lived and loved more like her the world would be a much better place. Ginger, my daughter from another mama, you shall be missed but my life is better for having had you be a part of it. Rest well my friend and counting on you to watch over us. I love you and until we meet again “behave” up there 🐾💜
