At approximately 6 a.m., a man driving a SUV crashed into a power pole on 5th Street in Eureka knocking down powerlines. He continued on another 330 feet or so smashing two more signs. He finally came to a stop by rear ending a semi near Burger King. The momentum swung his vehicle around so that it ended up at a 90 degree angle to the semi.

Lane 1 and 2 were closed as of 7 a.m.

The driver was taken into custody.

UPDATE: 7:37 a.m.: The number one lane is still closed due to the power line being down.

Very hard to understand why people make jokes about someone like this. He could kill someone you love.
