Money, Heroin, Guns Found When Southern Humboldt Man Arrested

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

imageservletkempOn 09-23-2015, at approximately 11:15 a.m., personnel assigned to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Garberville Station conducted a probation search at a residence located in the 200 block of Fish Creek Road, Phillipsville. Kemp was transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked for the following charges:
H&S 11351 Possession of a controlled substance for sales
H&S 11370.1 Possession of a controlled substance while armed
H&S 11364.1 201502761 (1)Possession of drug paraphernalia
PC 29800(a)(1) Felon in possession of a firearm
PC 30505(a)(1) Felon in possession of ammunition

Never trust HCSO’s cameras! He almost certainly doesn’t look half as bad as his mugshot.

I have known Trip since he was in grade school. i remember him as such a nice young man. Like i have been
advocating for some time, its not the young people its the chemical. Until we spend incarceration funds on rehabilitation, we will never defeat this or even slow it down. Trip Kemp is a victim of things being backwards. i am not saying that he made some choices that were not the best. He could be fixed like thousands of addicts across the country. We need to try. Sorry for the family.

that drug is nasty, ruins family’s. i watched a great girl grow up with Meth in her house the mother was on it..had sketchy people living with her and her kids. young kids mind you. the mom lost her 3 kids to the system.

fast forward to the oldest girl who was in her 20’s a husband and 3 kids later she was put on pain pills from doc, then it turned into herion. now she is running around with a fella from the nortenos. her record is full of felonies from mendo, humboldt, to butte. its crazy stuff..
Kym i hope your brother is ready to change his life. sadly he has to want it.. he can’t do it for family, for kids, for girlfriend.
y’all are in my thoughts

the half ounce came from? and did the long investigation find that person or persons supplying?
$3K ? versus the $600K of recent record?
Brother Kemp is small potato workin for the man.
Wrong man and wrong line of work
And he’ll make the statistic of conviction but it does nothing to end the War on Heroin etc.
Too bad for his choices
The war doesn’t seem to be on the correct track for the win.

Poor decisions have nothing to do with the
Man that he is. I met him and he being the gentleman that he is, he fixed vehicle and bought some of the parts I needed as well. He did not know me, he was just a wonderful man. ( sexy too)

Addiction has plagued my family as it has many. Empathy to the Kemp family and to all who have the unwanted burden of dealing with the results of other’s addictions.

No the main suppliers are a couple of Mexican guys, who got caught with almost a pound of heroin but then O.R.ed a couple weeks ago because they were locals with local address in fortuna, and no green card(I’m assuming). You see Trip is an actual local, with local family and community Ties and he will probably actually pay his fines and they can extort money from him.

Much love, Kym Kemp. We all know someone going through this, or that has gone through this with a family member. Heroin steals your soul, but it is not contagious. The families of these people are often victims as well.

If that’s a big heroin bust, the small ones must be…….invisible.

Heroin will take a man or woman down to a place that only a junky understands. When that feeling comes over you, only a hit of smack will make you feel whole again, and so the cycle starts all over again. Your life is devoted to getting your drugs. Life becomes a roller coaster of feeling great to feeling very, very bad! I know so many who have overdosed, and so many who have lost friends and family. There is however a positive thing about heroin, and that is when a person gets clean. He or she will learn much about life. You will have overcome an addiction and you will find a renewed perpose in life. Your self esteem will sore as you build your will power. You will be able to love yourself and love others as well. Trip, I hope you can use this experience and overcome your addiction. There can be a good life after dope!

Just in passing — remember something that Alan Watts once said — ages ago but maybe still relevant — he said that people aren’t “punching bags” — that — the point wasn’t how much punishment an individual could take before breaking — that in fact — some of the most caring — the most human and sensitive — sometimes break the soonest …
