  • That dude looks like he needs a good meal and a blood transfusion.

  • Commenters on LoCO are saying this is Kym’s brother. Is that true?

  • So sorry kym. I’ll be praying for him and your family.

  • Heroin is a a nasty insidious addiction.

  • I have known Trip since he was in grade school. i remember him as such a nice young man. Like i have been
advocating for some time, its not the young people its the chemical. Until we spend incarceration funds on rehabilitation, we will never defeat this or even slow it down. Trip Kemp is a victim of things being backwards. i am not saying that he made some choices that were not the best. He could be fixed like thousands of addicts across the country. We need to try. Sorry for the family.

  • that drug is nasty, ruins family’s. i watched a great girl grow up with Meth in her house the mother was on it..had sketchy people living with her and her kids. young kids mind you. the mom lost her 3 kids to the system.

fast forward to the oldest girl who was in her 20’s a husband and 3 kids later she was put on pain pills from doc, then it turned into herion. now she is running around with a fella from the nortenos. her record is full of felonies from mendo, humboldt, to butte. its crazy stuff..
Kym i hope your brother is ready to change his life. sadly he has to want it.. he can’t do it for family, for kids, for girlfriend.
    y’all are in my thoughts

  • the half ounce came from? and did the long investigation find that person or persons supplying?
$3K ? versus the $600K of recent record?
Brother Kemp is small potato workin for the man.
Wrong man and wrong line of work
And he’ll make the statistic of conviction but it does nothing to end the War on Heroin etc.
    Too bad for his choices
The war doesn’t seem to be on the correct track for the win.

    • So true they let go the dudes supplied the heroin they had a pound of it and they were illegal walk right out of the jail on there way to get more hell then they should set trip free go figure set trip free set trip set trip free

  • In our thoughts tonight Kym. Hope Trip can find a positive in his situation and get the help he needs to be clean.

  • I am sorry to see your bro back in the news, I hope he wins his addiction battle and finds peace.

  • Poor decisions have nothing to do with the
Man that he is. I met him and he being the gentleman that he is, he fixed vehicle and bought some of the parts I needed as well. He did not know me, he was just a wonderful man. ( sexy too)

  • Also glad to see more and more comments are coming towards kym paper because lost cause post blocks u or deletes u for saying the truth red headed black belt keeps it real brovo kym

  • Wow, a whole half ounce after a several months long investigation.

  • Addiction has plagued my family as it has many. Empathy to the Kemp family and to all who have the unwanted burden of dealing with the results of other’s addictions.

  • does anyone know why the heroin is better in garberville than in eureka?
(some hooker from eureka told me that is the case)

    • LOL but are the hookers in Garberville better than the ones in Eureka?
Bummer Trip man, you seem like a cool guy I guess getting splattered by a car didn’t teach you anything
      Should have stuck with coke.

  • kym, I have no wisdom to add, only sympathty and best wishes. It pains me to see the burdon that you and you wonderful family have to bear. I am hoping for your sake that all will turn out well. It was nice chatting with you today. Who knew how the day would end up? You are a person of great charactor.

    • well said Ernie. My heart aches for the family and hopes Trip gets needed help and finds himself again. Love to all the Kemp family.

  • Glad to get “the main supplier of heroin supplier” out of business. And so sorry it’s your brother. You are an amazing woman with great character.

    • No the main suppliers are a couple of Mexican guys, who got caught with almost a pound of heroin but then O.R.ed a couple weeks ago because they were locals with local address in fortuna, and no green card(I’m assuming). You see Trip is an actual local, with local family and community Ties and he will probably actually pay his fines and they can extort money from him.

  • Waiting to see Hank’s dui mugshot. Glad you left that knucklehead scene, Kym.

  • Much love, Kym Kemp. We all know someone going through this, or that has gone through this with a family member. Heroin steals your soul, but it is not contagious. The families of these people are often victims as well.

If that’s a big heroin bust, the small ones must be…….invisible.

  • we need to start helping our locals with programs I will put up $500 donation for trip to start getting help that he needs, that man has had a hard life from his wife getting murdered and him getting run over and countless other things he’s a good guy,

  • We always knew you were a class act, Kym. Honesty is what we come to expect from you and you have proven your character is amazing. Sorry this is what ya all are going thru this. Muchovw to your mom. And I pray your brother has had enough to get help. Thanks for your candor.

  • Never give up hope of recovery for Neil, Kym,as change is possible…God Bless you and your family.

  • Despite all the nasty stuff this fellow is in to…he is a handsome rockabilly outlaw lookin dude. Oh and drugs are bad.

  • What a hard task that must have been to write a bad news story about a family member’s troubles with the law. Bless you Kym for your integrity, strength and courage.

  • Now that’s some unbiased reporting.
Best to u and your family. This is always a hard situation and non of us are immune to it.
I’ve got a bro down on his luck as well. Hope your folks are dealing w it lightly.

  • Sometimes the bad leads to the good

  • Heroin will take a man or woman down to a place that only a junky understands. When that feeling comes over you, only a hit of smack will make you feel whole again, and so the cycle starts all over again. Your life is devoted to getting your drugs. Life becomes a roller coaster of feeling great to feeling very, very bad! I know so many who have overdosed, and so many who have lost friends and family. There is however a positive thing about heroin, and that is when a person gets clean. He or she will learn much about life. You will have overcome an addiction and you will find a renewed perpose in life. Your self esteem will sore as you build your will power. You will be able to love yourself and love others as well. Trip, I hope you can use this experience and overcome your addiction. There can be a good life after dope!

  • I feel bad about how bad trip is feeling right now being sick and probably feeling guilt and sadness of the continue hurting his family again and again that’s how I felt when I was using crank

  • Just in passing — remember something that Alan Watts once said — ages ago but maybe still relevant — he said that people aren’t “punching bags” — that — the point wasn’t how much punishment an individual could take before breaking — that in fact — some of the most caring — the most human and sensitive — sometimes break the soonest …

  • Like the others have already expressed, you are one class act, Kym. My heart & prayers go out to you and Trip both. Keep strong!

  • You are the real deal, my thoughts are with you and your family.

  • Sad to say that our judicial system continues to incarcerate instead of rehabilitation
