EPD Offers Free Training For Businesses and Their Employees

The Eureka Police Department is pleased to announce a free seminar for all businesses and their employees who hold an alcohol license in the County of Humboldt. The training is presented by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) and will be held on October 7th, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Wharfinger Building located at 1 Marina Way Eureka, CA 95501.

The LEAD (Licensee Education on Alcohol and Drugs) seminar will provide attendees with:

  • Information on what is “acceptable” I.D., the best way to check I.D., how to refuse service, signs and prevention of illicit drug activity, and much more.
  • Facts about your criminal, civil, and ABC liability
  • Update on California alcohol laws
  • Helpful handouts

Please register all attendees online at www.abc.ca.gov. Click on Server Awareness (LEAD) Training.
