Man Caught Stealing Truck From the Humboldt County Fairgrounds, Says Ferndale Police
This is a press release from the Ferndale Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On September 17th, 2015 at approximately 0830 hours, Ferndale Police Department received a report 19 year old Joseph Timothy Zanone entered the Humboldt County Fairgrounds and stole a maintenance truck.
One of the maintenance employee’s for the fairgrounds followed Zanone and the stolen maintenance truck from a safe distance after the theft and notified the Ferndale Police Department. Ferndale Police Officers, coordinated efforts with Rio Dell and Fortuna Police Officers to apprehend Zanone. Zanone stopped the truck at East Ferry and Grizzly Bluff Road and was immediately taken into custody without incident.
Subsequently, Zanone was arrested, transported and booked into the
Humboldt County Correctional Facility for the following charges:
1- California Vehicle Code 10851, Auto/Vehicle Theft (Felony)
2- California Penal Code 496(a), Possession of Stolen Property (Felony)
