On the afternoon of Saturday, September 12, a DUI driver received major injuries after driving off State Route 36, east of Bridgeville.

Just before 3:00 p.m., 32 year old Jolene Mina Hay of Bridgeville was driving a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound on State Route 36 while under the influence of alcohol.  Due to Hay’s level of alcohol impairment, she drove the Volkswagen off the roadway.  The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof.  Hay was transported from the scene by a CHP helicopter to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with major injuries.  Hay was placed under arrest for Misdemeanor DUI and released to Mercy Medical Center due to the extent of her injuries.

Alcoholic beverages remain legal no matter how much people abuse them while the medicine cannabis remains semi-legal. Our society is dominated by hypocrites and phonies.
