At about 930, a single plume was easily spotted due north of Blue Lake, probably within a quarter mile of 299. The fire department seemed to be having trouble pin pointing the location for access. At first glance, it looked like someone burning a brush pile. No wind out here, or there could be a real problem.

Fire is mostly out. Helicopters and crews were on it.
