Here’s the Animated Time-lapse GIF of the Lassic Fire You Didn’t Know You Wanted

VDRNuqIt’s a bit difficult to see how the fires have progressed from day to day, so we’ve taken it upon ourselves to make it easy for you. The GIF above shows how the Lassic Fire, which is part of the Mad River Complex, has grown between August 2 and August 14.

If you have any other fires you’d like to see in a GIF format, let us know in the comment section.

Just for the heck of it, here’s what the GIF would look like with simulated sunlight set for 3:04 a.m.

Valley Fire, please? I’ve been watching the maps especially where there have been fairly straight lines that must mark the partial containment, usually along roads — and noticing little blips showing up now on the far side of those lines in several places. And they’re predicting possible new heat records on Sunday.
