A woman who calls herself “Red” walks up to officers to tell them the woman who they are arresting detaining across the street didn’t commit the crime.

It’s turning out to be a busy night for the Eureka Police Department (EPD).

EPD was dispatched to a report of 245 (Assault with a deadly weapon) and 211 (Robbery) near Sixth and V Streets in Eureka (See map Below) before 2 a.m. this morning.

According to the scanner, bats and hammers were used in the assault, and four female suspects were seen walking away from the scene with garbage bags and sleeping bags. EPD officers located suspects on Sixth Street between T and V Steets.

EPD officers refused to comment on the matter, but a male and a female were handcuffed and placed in police vehicles when this reporter arrived at the scene.

EPD officers were out searching for the victim, but they were having trouble locating her.

“EPD officers were out searching for the victim, but they were having trouble locating the her.”

This sounds as if they did find the victim. Did they or did they not find her?

Reminds me of the naked man picture on the bay…

The colors on these pictures are even more 70’s style and one can almost hear , ‘YMCA’ blasting over the car radios.

Great pictures!

Looks like a rave gone violent or something.

@ Jeff….welcome to the world of Eureka. Dealing with homelessness, drugs, and anti society “victims” and “suspects” is always a crock of crap. It is time consuming and uses up a lot of public resources. The people that deal with these problems daily (the police, social workers, fire personnel, medical personnel, and even the fast food workers) are pushed to their limits to determine what is the right action. No matter what action they take there is always some one there to second guess them.
