Cal Fire Battles 200 Acre Blaze Near Pecwan, Smoke Spreading
Cal Fire has confirmed that there is a 200 acre blaze near Hwy 169 and Pecwan in northern Humboldt. The incident was first located late last night and fire crews staged near Martin’s Ferry before heading into the remote wilderness area.
According to the US National Weather Service, there are multiple fires in the area sending smoke to the northeast and the southwest.
Cal Fire says that there are nine fires in all.
Firefighters are battling 9 fires totaling 200 acres off Hwy 169 & McKinnon Hill Rd, 5 miles SE of Pecwan (Humboldt County). #QueenFire
