Man Shot in Covelo Early This Morning, Woman Arrested

Scanner traffic indicates a gunshot victim was transported to the Covelo firehouse on Commercial Street at approximately 12:47 a.m. today. The 38-year-old male was wounded in his pelvis but alert and oriented at the time of the original call. The man was transported to a helicopter at the Round Valley Airport.

The Press Democrat reports,

….sheriff’s deputies and detectives were called to Covelo Sunday night for a shooting involving a marijuana dispute, Barney said. A woman was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. A man wounded was flown to a Redding hospital.
