[Update: 11:38 p.m.] Fire Behind Tetrault Tire in Eureka
Scanner traffic indicates Humboldt Bay Fire is responding to a vegetation fire to the rear of Tetrault Tire (4000 block of Broadway) in Eureka. Fire crews responded to the incident at around 10:40 p.m. Fire crews have arrived at the scene, but they are having trouble finding an access point to the fire. We’ll update this post when we find out more information.
10:51 p.m.: One engine originally responded to the fire, but an additional engine has been requested.
10:52 p.m.: According to the scanner, the fire is “spreading to eucalyptus.”
10:55 p.m.: Fire crews are using Weiler Road (view the map above) as an access road to the fire.
11:02 p.m.: Fire crews have located a fire hydrant to help fight the fire.
11:07 p.m.: A voice over the scanner said that it is an approximately 100 foot spot of eucalyptus grove, and fire crews are expecting to be at the scene for about an hour.

No Problem Oliver any idea how bad the fire in Manila is or was?
Last I heard, the fire was about five to seven acres, but that was a couple of hours ago. Here’s a link.
