Myrtle Avenue Partially Closed for Vehicle v. Power Pole Accident

Scanner traffic indicates a vehicle collided with a telephone pole near the cross of Myrtle Avenue and Moore Avenue just before 10 p.m. in Eureka. Voices over the scanner said, “We have two telephone poles that are leaning into the roadway.” According to the scanner, at least one pole is down and one lane of traffic is closed. Humboldt Bay Fire said over the scanner that there did not appear to be any injuries. PG & E is being notified.
