Immunize Your Toddler, Says Department of Health and Human Services

Press release provided by the Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services:

humboldt county department of health and human servicesIn May, Humboldt County will join more than 2,000 U.S. communities for National Toddler Immunization Month to celebrate vaccination’s critical role in protecting children and underscore the importance of fully immunizing children against diseases like whooping cough and measles.

These vaccine-preventable diseases were widespread in California last year. In Humboldt County, 141 cases of whooping cough were reported in 2014, with another 41 cases reported already this year. And while there was only one reported case of measles in the county last year, a large multi-state measles outbreak started at Disneyland and spread to seven additional states and two countries.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC,) there have been 136 cases of measles reported in California since December 2014 with two additional cases reported in April unrelated to the Disneyland outbreak.

Health officials believe timely immunization could have reduced these numbers. “Too many parents dealt with missed work and the trauma of their child being ill or even hospitalized,” said Susan Buckley, public health director for the Humboldt County Department of Health & Human Services. “We should not risk children’s health when vaccines are widely available.”

The CDC says vaccines are important, particularly against measles:
Measles is still common in many parts of the world including some countries in Europe, Asia, the Pacific and Africa.
The majority of people who get measles are unvaccinated.
Travelers with measles continue to bring the disease into the U.S.
Measles can spread when it reaches a community in the U.S. where there may be groups of unvaccinated people.

“Protecting our children against vaccine-preventable disease like whooping cough or measles is every parent’s responsibility,” said DHHS Immunization Coordinator Susan Wardrip, RN. “Delaying or avoiding immunization can have tragic consequences.”

Wardrip urges parents to make an appointment now with their health care provider. ”Routine infant and toddler immunizations will protect against serious illness in the future, and it’s something easy all parents can do for their children.”

It stands to reason the bull that has gone under the title of science for so long will one day be proven to be bad science and we as people have believed all they have told us and we do not question A media storm has paved the way for this witch hunt yet what the hell is herd immunity that is supposed to cover our un-vaccinated part of the population , but even more so why then are folks getting the very diseases the very protected against?
Common sense tells me if I have been vaccinated from catching a disease then why should I be at a higher risk from an un-vaccinated person(s) ? Doesn’t it send up red flags that pharma company’s are exempt from prosecution for damages caused by these vaccines ? If they are perfectly safe tell me why they have to force them on the public …… are you gonna call this freedom? History is a fact you cannot deny do a little research and you will find the same alarming facts I have found . These people put a so many chemicals , metals …things proven to be fatal in small doses,… in your babies bodies every time you go to get them shots . It also shocks and dismays me when I see a now 17 year old boy I have known all of his life and saw the autistic change come on him 2 hours after his shots at the age of 4 , No I am not related to nor do I have any personal stake in this Vaccines are dangerous and if you are going to take the time and take care in how you care for yourself and are careful with what you eat or avoid second hand smoke then find out all the ingredients in these shots before you put them in your childs bodies cause if you care you will not do anything less.

I’ve got to say that I’ve yet to see a person working for health and human services that even looks healthy. Most seem to be overweight and zombie looking.

I certainly wouldn’t want my child looking like any of them, so we’ll take our chances.

If they hired healthy people to work there, people might not think they are full of fast food crap.
